Movies and their influence

dis blog is basically about the influence of movies in our daily lives... though dis has been a widely discussed one, take a look at ur daily life... pretty much ur lyf revolves around one movie r the other...

let us take a look at ur normal day to day lyf...u wake up and do da daily stuff... stand in front of a mirror wondering abt ur hair style.. wich one u shud set and all... shah rukh or salman style... maybe u gotta trim ur beard like kamal haasan(hey im a south indian:)... and get dressed up....dressing... u wanna be impeccable... like a movie star...of course...

u want da bike from a movie... ohh!!! i forgot dat is to impress ur Girlfriend (love crap and blech....) which is another concept i personally feel would also neva have existed had it not been fer movies... think of the following things...the idea of a perfect match fer u ... da love of ur lyf... and duin stupid stunts to impress her and things like walkin in the middle of road with hands raised in the air... thinking about HER... gosh ....how imaginative can u get... any irrational act by a person primarily because of hormonal imbalances is attributed to love... the 4 magic letters that everyone seems to b talkin about...

its not just dese crazy freaks and all... take a hit at the so called geeks too... dey r mostly dreaming about chaotic theory and stuff like dat... hadnt it been fer a movie like butterfly effect and all no one wud have even dared to talk about the chaotic theory... believe me, its way beyond the league of common man...u wudnt wanna see a research paper on dat topic...wud make u mad...

its cos the sense of questioning is lost when we c a movie or maybe even read a book... remember 'five point someone'...u neva questioned the fact about the machine and stuff like dat... wen a guy asks the professor about machines... the prof says machines r made to make man's work easier... dis einstein asks him if de machines in the gym cud also b called machines as dey only increase our work...well dey do... ever tried jogging around the ground??? hmm... maybe u wud have with and ipod and loud music...now was dat from the movie 'the goal' ?????the fact is dat the things the movies show become the trends and the society functions based on dat..dare to think different ??? u wud b branded a social outcast...

lol....now dunt think too much while readin dis......im not being critical and dont say dat it is wrong to do all dese tings... but sometimes almost every action u do has somehow been emotionally influenced by movies...
and to conclude... i quote from the movie matrix revolutions [:)] all dese are merely 'illusions...vagaries of perception...temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence dat is without any meaning or purpose...'
(everyting has got movies mixed in it... so why not my blog's conclusion????)

but den doin all dese tings is what essentially makes us human.....right???

Culture

Some first things u shud kno abt me... im an Indian.. and this concept of culture is a very ardent topic of discussion in the Indian scenario .....
People talk all the time about our Golden Culture and about how once upon a time we had a rich culture and today our culture is being spoilt by the youth and such crap.....lolz...But lemme tell ya 1 ting. Culture by itself was formed by a single or a group of persons, and according to them whatever dey felt was rite dey passed it down to their children...so in fact it is nothing but the ideals of someone that we are following... that is we are following thoughts of some random ancestor who suddenly decided that one day he would start something.... centuries later when another young individual decides to do something that has not been done by his parents, but has been done in some other country (unfortunately) he is classified as aping their culture and violating our culture that has been passed on to us for generations... but enough of the discussion on individualism...
i would like to pose a question to all dose so called protectors of our culture... why don't we still follow the ancient practices of child marriage and sati?? that is just basically because our Government forbids it... so at this point i would like to propose a definition of culture: it just is nothing but that which has been done by your parents in THEIR times and that which they expect us to follow in OUR times, all under the watchful supervision of a government that pretty much changes your culture the way it deems fit ....
but speaking as a matter of fact sati and child marriage were common in those times, women would be unable to live in a society without their husband in those times... but today the society is not so narrow minded anymore... in other words the whole world is changing so we cannot expect to get a hold on our so called culture... frankly ,  our Indian culture itself has been shaped and metamorphosed by events in history..... so culture by itself has no real shape and is pretty much shaped by us... so if we decide to change it rapidly to keep up with the west then that will become our culture not that which our parents have taught us... so to conclude and sum it up, culture has no real depth, but it is upto us whether to follow it or not, but we cannot hope to adopt something that is not ours without having the proper mindset that is required...
i really feel i should mention this probably offensive example...i have seen many girls wearing pretty revealing dresses but when guys look at them they start covering up...i don't really understand the point of it all... u see a chick on mtv wearing such an attire she is ready to flaunt herself off before the world and so she can wear it.... but if u do not have the guts to walk that way in public then you probably should not hope to wear the same revealing dresses... this is a proper mixup of not knowing what to do, not knowing which culture to follow... u wanna dress like an american, den u better be prepared to get a lot of ogles.... else u better get back to wearing what you are comfortable with.... in other words u can STICK to your culture....
